State’s First “Hush House” Expected to Reduce Maintenance Noise
Oakland International Airport will test California's first "hush house," designed to reduce noise from engine maintenance by 15 to 18 decibels, between midnight Sunday and 2 a.m. Monday. Two tests — one inside and one outside the structure — will be conducted for comparison purposes.
