"We are excited to expand our service in the Bay Area with convenient, nonstop service between the Bay Area and the Montrose and Telluride ski region," Andrew C. Levy, Allegiant President, said. “We are confident the community will continue to support the Allegiant brand of affordable travel and take advantage of the value of booking their winter ski packages through us."

“Bay Area travelers will have a great choice to access world class skiing in Telluride and Coloradans will enjoy an escape from winter here in the moderate climate of the San Francisco Bay Area,” said Deborah Ale Flint, Aviation Director for the Port of Oakland which owns and operates OAK.  “This new route is the airport’s 38th non-stop destination for the winter.  We appreciate the service, operations, and economic impact of $75 million that Allegiant brings to the region symbolizing progress in the Port of Oakland Strategic Plan.”

Earlier this year, Allegiant announced new service from nine existing markets to Oakland International Airport (OAK), in addition to opening a new base of operations at the airport. With the addition of Montrose, Allegiant will serve a total of 10 cities with nonstop service in and out of Oakland International Airport (OAK).
